Most of you know how to speculate conception period and use pregnancy test kit to check (when period is late). Once the urine test reveals a "positive" sign, you'll make an appointment with a gynae to confirm about it and let him/her to tell your Expected Delivery Date (EDD) or simply Due Date.

This will be the 1st question asked by your gynae"When was your last period? Tell me the date (means the 1st day of your last period)".
Nevertheless, ultra sound technology is better in speculating your baby's real growth. Here's a simple way to calculate the EDD. *Subject to these conditions:
- have a consistent cycle (standard 28 days)
- keep a record of menstrual period (the date - 1st day of last period)

The Formula :
The Date of 1st day = "Month" subtract (-) 3 & "Day" add + 7
Samples of calculation as appended.
An important note to some of you who do not keep a record of menstrual period. Remember to put a remark on the calendar (especially the 1st day) for every cycle when you are planning to conceive.
